What is this thing called “RACE?”
Is it biological? economical? or cultural?

The world is divided into peoples who are black, white, red and yellow.  And yet, the concept of “race” is a modern phenomenon.  This provocative film questions the very idea of race as biology.  If it’s not biology, then what is it?

It is a political, economical and cultural construct—a social invention. But this social idea has serious consequences for society, and the effects of racism are very real. The Civil Rights Act was enacted more than 40 years ago, and yet we still struggle with institutionalized racism and White Privilege.  Come join us as we explore this very important and timely subject.
